Isaiah, The Prophet

Isaiah 7:14 (HCSB) Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:6 (HCSB) For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah prophesied about Jesus. Hundreds of years before Christ was born, Isaiah promised that a child would be born from a virgin.

He also promised he would be called:

• “Immanuel” – God with us - He is there for us.
  
• wonderful counselor - He is there to give you wisdom.
  
• mighty God - he is able to help us.
  
• everlasting Father - He loves us, because He has the Father's heart.
  
• Prince of Peace - he can bring true peace to your heart.
