Jesus -- Eternal with the Father

December 1

Jesus said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” (Revelation 22:13)

Discuss: Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, like our A and Z. What did Jesus mean when He said he was the A and Z? When did Jesus’ life begin?

John wrote in his Gospel about Jesus:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning….The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1-2, 14

Discuss: Who is the Word? What do these verses tell us about Him?

Sing: “O Come, All ye Faithful”

Prayer: Lord, Thank You that although You are God, You came to earth to let us know what God is like. Without Bethlehem, we would never know You. Amen.
